It's OK to admit it.

In this Season of Mystery, of Magi, of Music -

of merry-making, of multi-colored lights and of Merry Christmas...

you're whispering:

Where is my miracle?

Or maybe you are shaking the shiny packages, speaking it out loud...

What about my miracle?

Or have you burst outside to shout it from the mountaintops?

Miracle! Where are you?

If this Advent adventure is anything,

it's slow and step-by-step up a snow-covered mountain path.

It's stopping to take in the scenery and sighing at the serenity of it all;

It's succumbing to the chilly climb, certain that a surprise awaits.

Wishes are one thing,

but Miracles are a thing of the desperate:

they are matters of healing or disease; they are matters of life or death.

How do we Prepare the Way for a miracle?

Listen...to those who have received their miracles.

Learn...how the methods are mediated by the Messiah.

Listen:

"I had to tell Him about the suffering...of my servant, of my child, of my friend, of myself." - The Roman soldier; the father; the friends of the paralytic; the Samaritan woman.

"I could hardly speak...but at least I could reach out to touch the hem of His robe." - The bleeding woman.

"I had to show up so that He could see me." - The man with leprosy.

Learn: Believe in being vulnerable. Show up and speak up to give the miracle potential.

Listen:

"I had tried every doctor available; they thought I was crazy." - The bleeding woman.

"I had nearly resigned to isolating myself and giving up." - The man with leprosy.

"Nobody had ever really listened before." The man unable to walk when everyone around him was being healed at Bethesda.

Learn: Be heard, seen and felt. Be believed. Miracles begin with inner Peace of being believed and believed in.

Listen:

"I knew that there was something Supernatural about this Man." - The bleeding woman; the Samaritan woman.

"I could sense His Power; I knew I wasn't worthy of Him entering my home to heal my servant." - The soldier.

"We believed that He was the only one Who could do the miraculous." - The friends of the paralytic, lowering him through the roof to be placed in front of Jesus; the crowds following Jesus for healing.

Learn: Believe in the Baby Who Became Beloved Savior. The Power beyond our comprehension allows an outcome beyond our imagination.

Listen:

"He asked me if I wanted to be made well: I had to... well, rise to face my fears, rise to the occasion, rise to pick up my mat and walk." - The man previously unable to walk.

"I had to let Him touch me, filthy as I was." - The man with leprosy.

"I had to confess...here I am, I'm not hiding anymore. This is me." - The bleeding woman; the Samaritan woman; those who became His followers.

Learn: Believe His commands for action item and next-steps. His prompting is pathway to the miracle.

Listen:

"He literally chased the evil spirit out of my son: He gave him a clean spirit and a new life!" - The father of the son possessed.

"The more we learned from Him, the more we realized that we were extensions of Him and His miracles." - The disciples.

"I knew the Miracle was within me, and soon it would be within everyone who believed." - Mary, Mother of Jesus

Learn: Keep Believing. Find and be the evidence of ongoing miracles. We are portals when He is within us.

Listen... to His Words for yourself.

"Now we believe, not because of what (all you) people said, for we ourselves have heard Him and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Savior of the world." - John 4:12 - people who came to believe upon spending time with Christ and hearing His Word.

Peace be with you. Just Believe.
